How we use it, for you. To calculate your number. We compare your pay with benchmarks for similar roles, levels, and locations to estimate your gap, then add the value of the extra work you record to calculate your full figure. As your role changes, your file updates with it.
How we use it, for the bigger record. Only if you choose to contribute. Contributed data is stripped of your name and email and combined with other records before anyone analyzes it. We publish findings only in aggregate.
What we never do. Show it to your employer. Sell it. Publish anything that identifies you.
