Three things, in order. Your Baseline: a two-minute estimate of your pay gap, based on your role, level, location, experience, and pay. Your Equity File: a running record of your pay gap and the dollar value of the work your title and reviews miss. And Momentum Coach, which helps you prepare for the conversation where pay and promotions get decided.
Yes. The Tally is built for women who want credit for the work their title and reviews miss, or a stronger case for promotion, as well as women who suspect a pay gap. Pay is one part of the picture.
Bring it to the conversations that change your pay and title: a compensation review, a raise request, a promotion case, a counteroffer, or a new offer. If you are running a bigger scope than your title, or covering work that used to belong to two roles, your file shows it with dates, outcomes, and a dollar value.
Yes. Your Baseline compares your pay with benchmarks for similar roles, levels, locations, and experience. Your Equity File goes further and benchmarks the role you are actually doing, which may be bigger than the one on your offer letter.
Yes. As you record the work outside your formal role, such as coordination, mentoring, covering open roles, and fixing what breaks, The Tally puts a dollar value on it. That value plus your pay gap is your full figure.
Yes. Your Equity File tracks how your scope has grown and compares it with the level of work you are actually doing. If your responsibilities match a more senior role, that gap shows up in your file, in plain terms you can point to.
National pay gap figures on our site come from Payscale’s 2026 Gender Pay Gap Report, based on more than 130,000 salary survey responses. Your personal number is an estimate built from your own answers. Our full methodology will be published on our Data Sources page.
No. Your number is an estimate based on the information you provide and our current methodology. It is evidence to bring into a conversation, not a guarantee of an outcome.
Yes. Your Equity File exports as a clean, shareable document with your figure, the work behind it, and your benchmark. You decide whether and when to share it.
It does the record-keeping for you. Describe your week in plain language and it files the work into your Equity File, so you never build a case from memory the night before. When a review or raise conversation is coming, it pulls the evidence that matters, helps you decide on your ask, prepares you for the pushback, and lets you rehearse the conversation.
Your role, level, location, years of experience, and compensation range. In your Equity File, you add the work you carry beyond your formal role. You do not need to name your employer.
It is stored in your account and used to calculate your number and keep your Equity File current. It is visible only to you. It is never sold and never shown to your employer. See Your salary information for the full detail.
No. Your employer cannot see your answers, your result, or your Equity File. Nothing leaves your file unless you choose to share it.
